Takumi
The Takumi on Immermannstrasse is one of the best-known ramen places in Duesseldorf's Japanese Quarter, also called Little Tokyo. Steaming bowls with rich tonkotsu broth, handmade noodles and carefully chosen toppings draw guests from across the region. The place is small and the rush great, so a queue often forms outside the door. Those who wait are rewarded with authentic Japanese noodle cuisine.
Authentic Ramen
The Takumi has devoted itself entirely to Japanese noodle cuisine and is considered one of the best ramen addresses in the city. The rich tonkotsu broth simmers for hours, the noodles are handmade and the toppings, such as chashu pork belly, egg and spring onions, are carefully chosen. Every bowl comes to the table steaming and hearty, a warming dish that keeps connoisseurs coming back.
Small and Sought-After
The place is deliberately kept small and plain, with the focus clearly on the kitchen. The great rush means a queue often forms outside the door, especially at lunch and dinner time. Those who bring a little patience are rewarded with authentic ramen quality, which explains the waiting-time cult around the house.
The Heart of the Japanese Quarter
The Takumi lies on Immermannstrasse, the main axis of Duesseldorf's Japanese Quarter, which with its supermarkets, bookshops and eateries forms a slice of Japan in the middle of the city. The location in Stadtmitte is excellently reached. A reservation is not possible; the place runs on passing and queuing trade, which fits the lively character of the quarter.
