Art & Koe - Düsseldorf for Connoisseurs
Düsseldorf counts as one of Europe's most important art cities and at the same time as a fashionable metropolis - this tour combines the two. We begin with classical modernism at K20 of the Kunstsammlung NRW, see great art at the Museum Kunstpalast, stroll through the green Hofgarten and along the elegant Königsallee with its spectacular Koe-Bogen. The finale is an upscale dinner that does full justice to Düsseldorf's reputation as a city for connoisseurs.

Art, Hofgarten and Königsallee
The day combines high culture and elegance: two great museums in the morning, a walk through the Hofgarten, shopping on the Koe and at the Koe-Bogen in the afternoon, and upscale cuisine in the evening.

Kunstsammlung NRW - K20
Start on Grabbeplatz at K20, the jewel of the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen. Behind the curved black granite facade hangs classical modernism of world rank: Picasso, Matisse, Mondrian and a whole hall full of works by Paul Klee.
Tip: With the Art Card you can combine K20 and other houses more cheaply.

Lunch in the Carlstadt
For lunch, into the elegant Carlstadt: at Robert's Bistro, a charming French classic, you sit cheek by jowl among locals and enjoy uncomplicated bistro cooking - tarts, fish and a glass of wine in genuine brasserie atmosphere.

Museum Kunstpalast
On the Ehrenhof in Golzheim, the Museum Kunstpalast unites Old Masters, contemporary art and a famous glass collection under one roof. From Rubens to the Düsseldorf School of Painting, a wide arc through art history unfolds here.

Hofgarten
From the Ehrenhof the path leads into the Hofgarten, Germany's oldest public park. Old trees, winding paths, the Schwanenspiegel and the fairy-tale Jröne Jong invite a quiet stroll - a green pause in the middle of the city.

Königsallee and Koe-Bogen
The Hofgarten flows directly into the Koe-Bogen, Daniel Libeskind's curving masterpiece. From here you wander along the Königsallee beside the moat, past the windows of the luxury brands - Düsseldorf's stage for style and elegance.
Tip: The green Koe-Bogen II with its planted facade is one of the most-photographed sights in the city.

An upscale dinner
For the day's highlight, a culinary high point: Nagaya is among the best Japanese restaurants in Germany and combines star cuisine with precise Japanese elegance. If you prefer French, choose the legendary Im Schiffchen - both crown a connoisseur's day.
